In a year where both the professional and collegiate football seasons were cancelled in Canada, we have started a league to help these athletes stay in top shape. However, running a 7v7 league is not free and with these athletes not receiving their regular allowances, our hope is that these donations can raise some money that will go back to the players. All of the staff are volunteers, and all athletes talking on these broadcasts have donated their time for free, so any help is greatly appreciated.
As you may be aware, the current climate of Canadian football is not a bright one due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All professional and junior football leagues in Canada have cancelled their 2020 seasons and left many Canadian players looking for a place to showcase their skills. At Collins Athletic Performance, we see the main objective of the CAP 7on7 League to be a place where elite level Canadian football players from USPORT (University Sport), and CFL (Canadian Football League) can sharpen their skills and continue to play at a high level in a competitive football environment. Our league will run once a week (weekends) for an 8 week regular season and will culminate with a 3 week playoff.
